I've watched bleach for a while however I stopped after the swords came to life and were defeated. I've heard that someone (spoilers) was finally killed in the main story arc. Is it going anywhere? Is it even worth it to watch the rest of the anime because I've heard mixed reviews about the rest of the episodes.
Also, how many times has Rukia been totally useless in a fight?

Rukia's useless count is high lol. However, I would highly recommend watching it! The current arc is very good in my opinion!

You should keep watching, it gets really good once they go to the Soul Society for the first time to save Rukia. That was the best arc.

First, you should watch it. Second, I'm not sure if i agree with Andrew here, this arch seems a lot like the zanpakutou arc but with ***SPOILER** ballistic Reigai instead of ballistic zanpakutou

Yes it does seem very similar, which is why I like it.. however one key difference is they tie in the main storyline much better than the zanpaktou arc did. They keep referencing past events that make sense. Additionally you get to see many people fight who I like to see fight such as kyoraku and ukitake.
