I am currently reading Axis Powers: Hetalia, Codename wa Sailor V, and the Maximum Ride manga series. I was wondering what everyone else is reading in 2012.

Codename Sailor V, that's being published in the U.S. recently, isn't it? I remember hearing that it showed up on the New York Times best seller list recently.

I started reading the .hack manga recently. I've played the PS2 games, now I wanna check out the manga!
I also started reading Hero Tales. It's really good, I'd say it's better than the anime.

The manga or the light novels?
I recently read the light novels, and they're totally worth it.

Well, I've only read the first edition of the Hero Tales manga so far. Haha. I should really keep reading it.

No, I mean, the .hack//IMOQ manga or light novels. The light novels are called .hack//Another Birth; dunno what the manga is called (or if there even is one).
Edit: The manga version is called .hack//XXXX.

Oh, haha. Well for .hack, I've read the manga, watched some the anime and played some of the games. I haven't read any of the light novels.

.hack//SIGN is kinda...slow and not very entertaining, unless you're into atmospherics and ambience with a mystery for plot.
The Another Birth light novels, though, are a sequel to SIGN, and a retelling of the first four games (a.k.a. "IMOQ"), and they're told from the perspective of BlackRose. They actually go into a lot of detail about what she thinks of things, as well as how her meatspace life and webspace life are intertwined. It's far better than SIGN, and I highly recommend it.
It does irk me a bit that MAL lists Another Birth as a "manga", but I guess that's better than not listing it at all (since it doesn't have a "light novels" category).
...anyway, this isn't at all "current" so I should stop talking about this probably.

Current manga? Oh jeez. I guess I don't keep up enough on current ones. One that I read and adore is Black Bird, which is still, miraculously, going. I also enjoy the Naruto Shipuuden manga. It's my guilty pleasure.

Probably because of being potentially associated with the Naruto fandom, which doesn't always have the best of reputations.

I love bleach and naruto. When read naruto(that way there fillers) it pretty well written and thought out. That said, the shippers scare me.

I think shippers scare everyone.
Usually when someone openly admits that they watch/read Naruto they become viewed in a particular way. I always feel like a kid when reading it because I've been reading it since I was...11? 12? Pretty young, whatever the age was.
I recently heard that Bleach was on its final arc. Is this true Bleach readers?
